What If You Found A Pyramid?
Spencer and Ryan are talking about many a pyramid. Egyptian, Sudanese, Chinese, even underground. Who made ’em? What’s in ’em? How many aliens were involved? As usual, we ask many questions, and answer few.
Pyramid Basics
A pyramid’s design, has the majority of the weight close to the ground. This means that less material higher up on will be pushing down from above. This distribution of weight allowed early civilizations to create stable monumental structures. The largest by volume is the Great Pyramid of Cholula, in the Mexican state of Puebla. It stands 55 metres (180 ft) above the surrounding plain, and in its final form it measured 400 by 400 metres (1,300 by 1,300 ft).
Sudan
The country with the most pyramids in the world is Sudan. Sudan has between 200 to 255 known pyramids, compared to Egypt’s 138.
They weren’t created by ancient Egyptians who might have wandered further south. The Nubian pyramids are far steeper and narrower, and they’re built from stepped stones, as opposed to the smooth surfaces of the wider Egyptian pyramids. The pyramids in Sudan were built by members of the Kingdom of Kush, an ancient civilisation that ruled areas along the Nile River from 1070 BC to 350 AD.
Chinese Pyramids
The pyramids of China are approximately 100 ancient mounds, many of which were used for burial. Most of them are located within 100 kilometers of the city of Xi’an.
According to rumors, the Great White Pyramid is 1000ft tall. The great pyramid of Giza is 460ft. Officially, the tallest Chinese pyramids are about 150ft.
